Used it to bore through three 2x6s for a rough-in job and it barely slowed down. That 7.5 amp motor really earns its keep, and the two speed ranges make it easy to handle. Best drill I've bought for heavy work.

Finally got this mounted in my shop to bore some 1-inch holes through floor joists, and that 2-speed range made quick work of both rough framing and smoother finish passes. No stalling even when the bit grabbed a knot.

The 7.5 Amp motor has no trouble chewing through tough lumber and thick masonry. I've been running it through some heavy duty framing, and the variable speed control gives you just the right amount of power for each task. It's definitely a workhorse that feels built to last.
