I was drilling into some knotty pine and these bits chewed right through without grabbing or wandering at all. The heat-treated steel held up impressively well after a dozen holes.
Finally, a spade bit set that actually stays sharp after more than a few holes. The heat-treated steel on these is noticeably harder than my old ones, and I’ve been drilling through 2x4s with almost no splintering.
The set came perfectly organized in its case, and the 13 sizes cover every hole I’ve needed for wiring and plumbing work. The bits cut cleanly through some knotty pine without any wobble or burning.
Bored through a stack of old 2x4s and some stubborn pressure-treated lumber without any burning or binding. The different sizes in this set covered everything from running wire to building a birdhouse.
The heat-treated steel cut through a stack of old pine boards without even slowing down, and the different sizes mean I haven’t had to swap bits mid-job yet. Honestly wasn’t expecting this much precision from a spade set.

Finally got around to using these on some rough framing lumber and they cut through knots without stalling. The 1/2" bit chewed through a 2x4 in seconds flat. Perfect for quick electrical runs.
The heat-treated steel held up beautifully when I drilled through a stack of old floor joists. These bits cut clean and didn't wander at all, which was my main worry with spade bits.
Finally got around to using these on some oak planks and they didn't wander at all, which was a nice surprise. The center point really digs in and keeps the bit steady through the cut.
