Finally got to use this on some old hardwood with hidden nails, and it sliced through cleanly without grabbing or overheating. The carbide teeth held their edge after three cuts, which is impressive for a kit under fifty bucks.
Spent yesterday cutting through a door frame that had hidden nails and this carbide set chewed right through without a single chipped tooth. The way the teeth grab and pull through the wood is noticeably smoother than my old bi-metal bits. Really impressed with how clean the holes came out.
Finally got to test it on an old stud with embedded nails, and it didn't even flinch — the carbide teeth held up perfectly. Cuts are surprisingly clean for such aggressive material, and the set covers every size I'd need for electrical work.
Cut through some seriously gnarly drywall with embedded nails like it was butter. Each cut stays clean and the carbide teeth still look brand new.
Took a chunk out of an old stud with a half-dozen hidden nails, and the carbide teeth didn't even dull. The large gullets cleared the sawdust fast, so I never had to stop and clear the kerf.
I've been using these hole saws to cut through some really tough, old-growth cedar with embedded nails, and they chewed right through without losing a tooth. The carbide tips are still sharp after a dozen cuts.
Finally plowed through a solid oak door with embedded screws and it didn't even flinch—the carbide teeth really chew through metal without slowing down. Cuts were noticeably cleaner than my old bi-metal set, and the whole kit feels built to last.
I was dreading cutting through an old door with hidden nails, but this carbide hole saw set chewed right through them without a single stuck tooth. The 1-inch cutter alone made quick work of the latch hole, and the whole kit feels solidly built.
Blew through a stack of old pressure-treated lumber with embedded gravel dust without dulling—these carbide teeth are no joke. The arbor locks in solidly, no wobble even at full speed.
Cut through two layers of ¾" plywood with embedded nails like butter and the teeth still look brand new. The carbide edges really hold up better than any bi-metal hole saw I've tried before.
