The paddle switch with the brake is the reason I picked this over others, and it stops the disc almost instantly when I let go. Even on a thick steel plate, it never bogged down and the battery lasted through a solid session of grinding.

Swapped out my old corded grinder for this one and the braking feature alone is worth it—wheel stops almost instantly when you release the paddle. The 6-inch capacity gives me extra reach on bigger cuts without having to switch tools.
